There is a nip in the air. The season of longing for warmth has arrived.
The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (hereinafter the WeLoveU) carried out the “Warm Winter
Support Project 2022” to help the neighbors who were experiencing a cold winter.
From November 16 to December 1, the WeLoveU members provided heating supplies,
groceries, heating expenses, and 10,000 face masks to 927 vulnerable households
through 15 government offices in Korea.
❄Preparing for Winter by Making Kimchi❄
In order to spend a long winter without any issue, food should be stocked up properly. Kimchi, which is a staple food for Koreans, is an important winter food.
Around the middle of November, people are in a hurry to make kimchi for winter preparation in the most regions in Korea. The WeLoveU held the “Sharing Kimchi With Mother’s Love” event around the same time. Members from Seoul, Gwangju, and Gyeonggi Province made 3,450 kg (7,600 lbs) of kimchi and donated to 320 families.
❄Prepare for a Cold Wave With a Warm Blanket anda Heating Pad❄
When you sleep in a soft blanket, you don’t worry if a cold wind blows outside.
To share warmth with neighbors this winter, the WeLoveU provided winter goods such as warm winter blankets and heating pads to 554 families.
❄Do Not Worry About Heating Expenses❄
In order that no one would suffer in a cold house due to heating expenses, the WeLoveU even supported 53 households with heating expenses in Daegu and Busan.
❄Love Is the Power to Overcome Cold Waves❄
Neighbors were worried about how to endure winter due to the severe cold waves forecast, and local government officials were trying to figure out how to help them.
They expressed their gratitude to the WeLoveU for its help and said it was a relief and comfort for them.
