*BRAVE: Bring Reusables Always for Visits Everywhere

A surge in disposables combined with an ecological collapse will hit us the most.
You may think you are inconspicuous and low impact. But, we must start with ourselves before we change the world.
The WeLoveU’s Be BRAVE Challenge promotes the attainment of environmental rights for all.

Are you ready to Be BRAVE?

Everyone with a “container” can go anywhere, no matter whether it’s a market or small store, to join the campaign.

Do you know the future of ecosystems?

Humans, the main culprit of endangered sea turtles

-Source: National Institute of Ecology under the Ministry of Environment, South Korea

Sea turtles mistake a floating plastic bag in the ocean as food they like such as jellyfish and seaweed and ingest it.

Because sea turtles don’t have teeth to break down food, such plastic waste can cause blockages in their throats and damage intestinal wall causing eventual death.

Because of the unique structure of their oesophagus, sea turtles cannot vomit up something once they have swallowed it. So, they die with a stomach full of sea trash.

Note!

The Ministry of Environment has implemented a plan to reduce single-use waste

-Targets 35% reduction in the use of disposables by 2022

The EU has approved a ban on single-use plastics

-Bans single-use plastic products such as cutlery, straws and cotton buds

The U.S.·Canada·Taiwan have introduced regulations on single-use products

-Adopt a policy to restrict the use of single-use plastic bags

Expected effects of #BeBRAVEChallenge

Expected effects of#BeBRAVEChallenge

Protects Environment

  • An increase in people’s awareness of the importance of environmental protection will result in less use of packaging materials and plastic bags.
  • A large number people participating in environmental protection will help prevent environmental pollution gradually.

Prevents the Growth of GPGP

  • By minimizing the use of single-use plastics and plastic bags, we can prevent the growth of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
  • A decrease of microplastics flowing into oceans will help protect marine ecosystems.

Improves Soil and Water Quality

  • Will help prevent the contamination of soil caused by toxic substances such as dioxins and heavy metals.
  • Will help prevent the pollution of streams and underground water caused by leachate leakage.
