Delivery of COVID-19 Safety Supplies and Medical Devices to Government Medical College and General Hospital in Siddipet, Telangana, India

India went into lockdown since the end of March to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, there were 90,000 new confirmed in a day of September, and more than 10 million cumulative confirmed cases in the middle of this month.

Since the situation was getting worse, the members of the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation (hereinafter the WeLoveU) in India stepped up to help the government to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. They decided to donate COVID-19 safety supplies and medical devices to the government medical college and general hospital in Siddipet, Telangana, and face masks to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra.

On December 27, the members from Hyderabad, Telangana, India, donated 150 pulse oximeters, 5,000 medical gloves, 10 digital thermometers, 10 heat detectors, 3 patient’s monitors, 3 wheelchairs, and 3 sterilizers to the government medical school and general hospital in Siddipet, India, to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases and treat patients.

The donation ceremony was held in the front yard of the government hospital, and five government officials, including the Minister of Medical, Health and Finance Department of Telangana and the hospital medical staff attended. Minister T. Harish Raofelt sorry for the current world that only thinks about personal benefit and interest and said, “We should not only care about ourselves and our own family, but also the earth and the nation. When everybody in the world is happy, we accomplish true happiness. I’m very happy to be part of this meaningful volunteer work which was initiated by the great will of Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah.”

At the interview by a media outlet, a WeLoveU member said, “I agree with the Minister that people are becoming more self-centered. That’s why we deliver unconditional love of a mother. Many people are now losing their health physically and mentally due to the pandemic, so we try to support them with a mother’s love. Today’s donation is to give strength to the medical staff who are having hard times with COVID-19 prevention.”

On that day, four media outlets, including TS24 News, covered the donation ceremony.

Donation of 10,000 Masks to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra, India

On December 30, the WeLoveU members from Pune, Maharashtra, donated 10,000 face masks to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to prevent COVID-19. The State of Maharashtra has more than twice of the number of confirmed cases, compared with other states. As of the 28th, 3,314 people were infected in this region. Due to the rapid spread of infection, it is difficult for local governments to carry out the efforts for prevention.

The WeLoveU members delivered face masks that they had carefully prepared to the city hall staff and thanked them for their dedication to prevention of COVID-19. The staff responded with smiles, delighted with the unexpected gifts.

Although it is a difficult time for everyone due to the pandemic, there are still people who have a beautiful mind to help others, thinking of the difficulties of others rather than their own. If this kind of effort is put together, the virus that has hit the whole world will soon lose its power and be defeated.
