A member of the International WeLoveU Foundation (hereinafter referred
to as WeLoveU) carefully checked school supplies
and placed them in a basket. These gifts were prepared
for children who cannot attend formal school.

In Botswana, many children are unable to attend school
due to various hardships. To support them, the government operates
the “Out of School Education for Children” (OSEC) program,
but the budget is insufficient to fully meet the needs of all children.

To help out-of-school children get closer to learning wherever they are,
WeLoveU decided to provide educational supplies. They quickly prepared
essential items such as notebooks, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers,
colored pencils, crayons, and school bags decorated with the WeLoveU logo.

On July 27, a donation ceremony was held at the Ministry of Education
and Skills Development in Gaborone. When WeLoveU members cheered,
“We Love You,” the children and parents responded enthusiastically,
“We Love You!” That day, 70 children received school bags and supplies.
“I am confident that the children who now have school bags and pens
will no longer feel left out, because they know someone cares about them.”
Peter Choto, Director of the South East Region,Ministry of Education and Skills Development
“Even if they cannot attend school, every child should be respected,
and their dreams should come true. I hope these supplies will help
both the children and their OSEC teachers.”
