This is the Yeonan Pier in Incheon.

On November 19, 2024, more than 500 WeLoveU members in Incheon
launched the Clean WORLD Movement at the renowned Yeonan Pier
and Fish Market area. They collected 600 kg (1,324 lbs) of waste,
contributing to the protection of the marine environment
and the cleanliness of the local community.

The members collected various types of waste, including snack bags
hidden in flower beds, cigarette butts on the ground,
and paper boxes and Styrofoam scattered across the streets,
and placed them in biodegradable bags and burlap sacks.

A special photo exhibition was held under the theme,
“Blue Incheon, a Sea of Life for Future Generations.” The exhibition displayed
photos highlighting the history of Yeonan Pier and the Fish Market
as well as the importance of the marine environment,
fostering pride among local residents and merchants
while promoting environmental awareness.

“Yeonan Pier and the Fish Market are historic landmarks and popular
tourist destinations in Incheon. As visitors from all over come,
a significant amount of trash is carelessly discarded, leading to pollution
in both the city and the sea. We hope that a clean environment
will be preserved for the benefit of past, present, and future generations.”
