WeLoveU members enter the school, carrying large gift boxes. Every year around this time, members from the United States visit various local schools to assist low-income families in preparing for the new school year by providing backpacks and school supplies.

This year, from August 2 to September 11, they presented over 3,600 backpacks
and more than 3,400 sets of essential school supplies, including writing materials,
to 12 schools across Georgia, New York, California, Delaware, Virginia, Connecticut,
Colorado, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.
“I understand that this work is not easy. You have truly done something meaningful. Thank you!”
Kimberly Goldbach, Principal of John Barry Elementary School
“Most of the students come from financially challenging backgrounds. Receiving a new backpack and being able to choose their favorite school supplies means a lot to the children.”
Lawrence Dance, Principal of Miner Elementary School
“This backpack support is a wonderful initiative that gives children a sense of welcome and excitement for school life.”
Daisy, Parent
“I would like to express my gratitude to Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah for the support. The backpack donation for children and families is like breathing fresh air, illuminating the world. I sincerely appreciate the care and attention from the Chairwoman.”
Wilson Woolcock, Parent

Chris Eachus, Member of the New York State Assembly
“The children’s faces are brightly shining. It’s important to ensure they have everything they need before returning to school, and WeLoveU is doing just that.”
Chris Eachus, Member of the New York State Assembly

Donnie Tuck, Mayor of Hampton, Virginia
“Considering inflation due to high prices of rent, clothing, food, and so forth, it can be difficult for parents to provide their children with school supplies. Thank you!”
Donnie Tuck, Mayor of Hampton, Virginia
This support, as part of the “Closing the Homework Gap Project,”
was made possible through sponsorship from companies such as Target, Walmart,
Staples, WSS, as well as contributions from WeLoveU members and colleagues.
It is expected to continue in the future.
