Although the importance of voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation
continues to be emphasized around the world, participation rates
remain low in some regions. In many African and Latin American countries,
limited awareness, cultural barriers, and insufficient medical infrastructure
have led to reliance on family replacement or paid donations.

From April 6 to May 19, the International WeLoveU Foundation
(hereinafter referred to as WeLoveU) conducted the Worldwide Blood Drives
in five countries across Africa and Latin America—Namibia, Rwanda, Cameroon,
Argentina, and El Salvador. Many members participated in voluntary,
non-remunerated blood donations, promoting the noble value of sharing life.

Voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation—a direct act of saving lives—
also helps transform perceptions within local communities
and strengthen medical systems.

Claudia Jovel, spokesperson for the El Salvador Red Cross Blood Bank,
emphasized its significance, stating:
“Blood donation is the noblest act a human being can perform.
The love contained in a single pack of blood is immeasurable.
Please remember that one person’s blood donation can save three lives.”

WeLoveU will continue to promote voluntary, non-remunerated blood
donation campaigns around the world to uphold the value of life
and share hope with neighbors in need.
