I, Mayor Don Ryan, and the Board of Trustees, wish to recognize Chairwoman Zahng Gil-Jah for leading the International WeLoveU Foundation and inspiring volunteers to share the love of a mother and promote unity among all people of the global village—beyond nationality, race, religion, and socioeconomic status.
The International WeLoveU Foundation, founded by Chairwoman Zahng Gil-Jah, concerns for the environment and carries out the Clean WORLD Movement in local regions in more than 50 countries to provide a clean and safe environment for people across the globe.
On July 23, 2017, more than 50 volunteers from the International WeLoveU Foundation beautified and cleaned the Village of Hempstead in an effort to maintain a clean and happy environment for residents.
Through acts of kindness, selfless volunteerism, and various social welfare projects, volunteers of the International WeLoveU Foundation are putting the love and devotion of a mother into practice.
As such, on behalf of our residents, I am proud to present you with this award. We commend, and encourage you to continue on this exemplary path.
